The Armed Forces Communications & Electronics Association, a nonprofit membership association based in Fairfax, Va., will host its 2010 LandWarNet Conference at the Tampa Convention Center.
Scheduled Aug. 3-5, the conference aims to unite government and industry to discuss commercial best business practices and government implementations.
About 6,500 delegates are expected to attend the event, producing 10,000 hotel room nights for an estimated economic impact of $3 million, a release from Tampa Bay and Company said.
AFCEA International serves military, government, industry and academia by providing a forum for advancing professional knowledge and relationships in the fields of communications, information technology, intelligence and global security.
The organization has about 31,000 members.
